AVOID DOING BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!  Abco Roofing (Mark & Joann Pearson, 100  Miller Dr.  Fenton, MO  63026)  took a down payment from me on 10/26/10 (1,899.00)  for a new roof on my home.  Mark Pearson told me that the job would be completed in 1-2 Weeks, depending on the weather.  My check cleared my bank the next day.  After 2 weeks of nice weather passed, I started calling & leaving phone messages EVERY DAY.  They called me back during that time to say that there were 2 jobs ahead of me. 



Now 7 weeks have passed & I have No Roof, No Materials & No Refund of my deposit.  Their phone lines were down/blocked around 11/30/10 thru 12/3/10 & I was unable to leave messages anymore, I visited them at their place of business on 12/1/10 (I work in the area).  There was no answer at the door, even with cars in the driveway.  I received a phone call from Joann Pearson that afternoon, stating that her husband was "Out of town"  and we verbally agreed that the contract was cancled & a full refund in the form of a cashiers check for $1,899.00  would be available to me in "1 to 2 Weeks". 



Since the phone numbers were still blocked/down on 12/2/10, I again visited the business address & Joann verbally verified the conversation of 12/1/10  & said the refund would be coming in 1-2 weeks.  Mark Pearson was also there.  He stated that since SHE has said it, I would get my full refund.  He said he didn't do business "That way".  I told them that I would return until I get my money back & then Mr. Pearson got angry about me coming to his house (His place of business on the signed contract) "because of his kids/with his kids around". 



I sent a certified letter to Abco Roofing on 12/2/10  verifying the contract cancellation & their terms for the refund ("1-2 Weeks" / Period ending 12/15/10).  I have maintained my civility throughout this entire ordeal & have done nothing wrong to these people to be treated this way.  Since 12/1/10  I have left messages on their phone EVERY DAY (& received no replies) & have visited the property 2 more times (12/8/10 & 12/9/10) with no answer to the door. 



I just want my money back.  We are working people & cannot afford to lose $1,899.00  to criminals.  I will update this report as time passes.
