I just read the rip off report on the gmc jimmy and thought I wish I had it as nice as a payment being in doubt.

In November 2007 I bought a 2001 Chevy S-10 from Abernathy's. Took it for a test drive which was kinda short being the gas empty light was blinking but it still ran fine. They wanted $12,500 for the truck I got it for $9,000 and I was really in need of a car so all seemed right with the world I thought it was a lucky day or something. All was well for a few weeks then came the first tow truck seems the fuel pump was shot over $400 bucks on my dime since they would cover it plus the $50 for that tow.

Within the next couple weeks A second tow, My cd was eatin and the radio quit all together. A few more weeks go buy and what a shock a third tow lucky for me my uncle fixed it this time saving me some cash. I had the oil changed the guy asked if it was my first time ever sice it was as he described sludge got a air filter at the same tie cause no air could pass thru the one that was in it.

A few days ago my buddy needed a ride and asked what the squeeking was when I gave him the ride. He had a look and it seems very soon I wont have heat cause the blower motor is about to go out. You may be thinking man what a bad streak of luck maby but heres the more likly reason. While he was looking at my truck he asked if it had been wrecked cause the hood didnt look right to him. Well after checking the registration sure enough the car has been marked rebuilt. So he did some looking at the rest of the car and seems beforelong I will be having more problems since whoever threw parts on it after they wrecked it did a terrible job.

So my $9,000 dollar truck which I still owe $7500 on, is according to blue book worth no more than parts which is $3,000 at the most. Thanks to arkansas law I only has 2 months to get my money back since thats past now and im stuck I think I win the biggest ripoff award from Abernathys.

The only bright side is reading a few storys where people have sued dealers and won considerable cash for this type of dishonest dealing by user car dealers. It also seems if I do get in a wreck they will be 100% liable since pretty much any wreck can be linked to the condition of my truck which they didn't bother to tell me.

So as a warning do not buy a car from Abernathy motor they will probably screw you over too. And if ya get the chance like me spread the word I have lost them 3 sales do date and hope to keep many more people from getting screwed in the future.

They would not pay for repairs for the fuel pump. I had I typo there that implied they had paid for it. If I had to guess they wouldnt pay if they engine dropped out of a car on the way out of the parking lot once they had a sinature on the dotted line. Actually thats probably more than just a guess since a dealer who wont pay for something a few days after driving off their lot is probably not paying for anything ever.
