Los Angeles Unified School Board of Directors to Receive Detailed Package on Academic Advantage Tutor Fraud.

What details did Academic Advantage keep from LAUSD’s board related to his internal dealings with Academic Advantage, and what new evidence has been discovered.

An audio recording in which Academic Advantage hires Michael Roberts Rexxfield to silence critics, use his in-house journalist to write fake reviews and suppress tutors warning other tutors of non-payment. Academic Advantage hires the company I use to freelance for (Rexxfield) for $20,000 per month to handle spin control after the Boing-Boing posting calling them a scam -- Academic Advantage admitted they directed their attorneys to threaten Boing-Boing...the audio also discusses their scam...Academic Advantage gets paid money from LAUSD under the 'no child left behind' act from the US Government.

Academic Advantage then hires tutors but puts a clause in the contract for Uncompleted Hours fee. Bascially, every child could receive a maximum of 34 hours of billable tutoring from the company. If a tutor fails to complete these hours, or was not still tutoring the child by the end of the school year, then they were contracturally obligated to pay the company $27 every hour the company could not bill the LAUSD (the tutors are hired at $16 an hour).

Academic Advantage scams the Government - then makes it impossible for the tutors to complete the 34 hours - which makes the tutor owe more than they would be paid. The tutors are then sent to collections where they can sign a deal of not filing a complaint in exchange for being released of the phoney debt.

When some brave people finally speak out they hire a BS company to control the spin. Funny thing is Rexxfield recorded the calls then used those calls to solicit other clients from their boiler room...just like Academic Advantage refuses to pay tutors -- Rexxfield did not pay my commission -- but I have the audio files Michael Roberts told me to use of his sales call and hiring by Academic Advantage -- Expect it!

One  of the many fees it was possible to incur was the Uncompleted Hours  fee.  Basically, every child could receive a maximum 34 hours of  billable tutoring from the company.  If a tutor failed to complete these  hours, or was not still tutoring that child by the end of the school  year, then they were contractually obligated to pay the company $27 for every  hour the company could not bill the LAUSD for.

THANKS!
