Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have gone through most of the same things with this company that are listed here by other people. I have finally gotten to the "no" "no" "no" stage when anyone from their business calls me and I usually end up hanging up on them. They have tried the "extension" scam on me as well as the "price reduction" and have been getting nowhere. Now they've come up with a new idea.

Their rep called me today and said that I agreed to a verbal contract for a "service" with their company for "60 months". Now 12 months of that was done and they needed to find out what they could do for me for the remaining 48 months. So of course he offered to do the price reduction thing for the remaining two magazines I receive. Of course I wouldn't bite. I also asked him how I would have signed up for service with his company 12 months ago (60 month contract minus the 48 months he says is remaining) if I originally started my service with them around 6 years ago. He couldn't answer that one.

When I told him he would need to play me a recording of my voice agreeing to this 60-month contract, he said that they have thousands of recordings and it would take "a whole week" to get that for me. I said call me in a week. But he wouldn't give up! He said he "had to" make some decision RIGHT NOW, either give me the cheaper price for the two magazines or just do the 4 I'm already getting for that same high price (even though I'm only getting 2 anymore). I told him he didn't HAVE to make any choice now, we can make a decision when his supervisor called me with the recording in a week.

While we were trying to figure out how he could have info from me a year ago when I originally signed up years ago, he did tell me the last 10 digits of the credit card he had on file for me. They were for a cancelled Discover card I got rid of about 4 years ago. He even admitted it was an expired card. So I guess at this point they can try whatever they want, they have no way of billing me since I'm sure not going to give them another credit card number.

Towards the end of the conversation, before I hung up on him a second time (yes, I hung up on him once and he actually called me back!) he did explain to me the fact that the "60-month" contract is not "60 months in time" it is 60 months of service. WHAT???? Then he called me "sweetie" while trying to explain everything and I told him I was SOOOO not continuing this conversation and hung up the second time.

I hope someone will PLEASE eventually put these people out of business.

Marsha
