RE: ADMORE AUTO DISMANTLING

8188 Katella Ave.

Stanton, CA. 90680

Friday, June 27, 2003 at about 12:00 P.M., I went to Admore Auto Dismantling to purchase a radiator for my 280 ZX Nissan Datsun.I was sold one for $65.00 and was told it was the right one.

As I tried to replace the radiator, I notice that the radiator I just purchased did not match the one in my car.

I took the radiator back to Admore Auto Dismantling and asked for it to be exchanged for the right one. It took them a while, but they found one. An employee said he tested the radiator and it was in good condition, and NO LEAKS.

I took it home, replaced the radiator. Started the engine and coolant begun to leak from several places in radiator, including the mouth of the radiator, the sealed part, and other areas.

I quickly called Admore Auto Dismantling. Someone answered and identified himself as Al. I told him the situation, he said that they were ready to go home and to bring the radiator the next day. I pleaded with him to wait so he could replace this faulty radiator. I urgently need the car for work. I work mostly on the weekends.

He said, I guest youre screwed and hand up the phone.

I bought the radiator in good faith. I was told it was tested for leaks.

The radiator leaked from various areas, and I am without transportation for work. After being insulted, and sold a defected item, I would like my money back, and the radiator replaced with a new one, or one that does NOT LEAK.

If you had not been too cheap and you had bought a new one in the first place you would not be having this problem. You purchased a used radiator (USED). I deal with salvage yards all the time and they do their best to check the parts before selling them but sometimes a bad USED part will get by them. They offered to replace the radiator during their normal business hours which should have sasitified you. As far as not having a vehicle for work I would put the blame on you as much as them. YOU decided to go purchase a USED radiator they did not force you to do it.
