If it would have been the compressor it would have been under warranty. Like I said, I don't mind the service call fee. It's not listed on the bill that way though. By all the other rip-offs reported on this company, They should be out of business!

You were fortunate that it was just a relay instead of the compressor because the relay is a relatively cheap part compared to say, a compressor or compressor motor. Please understand that many places charge a "service call" fee, plus labor, parts, etc. You might have felt better if the bill was more accurately itemized or if the MINIMUM amount the house call was going to cost you was more thoroughly explained before you agreed to the service. I have a minimum "house call" charge of $125 which includes the first hour of labor whether it takes 10 minutes or 60 minutes. Also, that does not include parts, additional labor, or applicable taxes. I make sure my clients understand that ANY house call I make is going to cost a MINIMUM of $125 plus applicable tax. Perhaps they should do the same.
