Affinity Property Management and Beaverton Apartments have done it once again. Just when one thought that they could not get any worse, they did. Here is the update on how Affinity Property Management and Beaverton Apartments feel about the welfare of your children. The other day I went to the office to talk with Samantha McClain, the manager, about the issues that Ive brought up in this ripoff report. I walked into the door that leads to the main lounge area, with a small rec room off to the right. The managers office is in an enclosed area with a locking door. However, the other areas area open to the residents. A sign on her door said that she was out on the property and would return shortly. I waited for her to return for about 25 minutes. No one else came into the rooms, but they could have, and with no supervision, which is fine except for the fact several poisons were left out un-attended that a small child could reach. In fact, there were cans of spray primer in a box not even 3 feet away from the box of childrens toys on the floor. In addition, there was a can of brush cleaner on the shelf next to the food preparation area, which had been used in the sink there as well. In the rec room, on the low shelf easily within reach of a small child or toddler, were a bottle of Clorox bleach cleaner and a can of RAID insecticide! All of these items could be very hazardous to a small child or even deadly. When Samantha came back to her office, I advised her about the dangers that were just left out in the open for any kid who might wander in here to find. Her response floored me to say the least. According to her, and it should be known she is a young mother, the rules say that children should not be in here without an adult present with them. I told her that some children (curious at young ages), do not always stay where they are supposed to stay. With that, she told me that it was up to the parents of children to teach them what not to touch or pick up. I was completely in disbelief when she said these things. I told her this and found these on Friday the 13th, 2007. The office is closed on the weekends. I was even more surprised to see that today (in the late afternoon), on Monday July 16th she had not removed those poisonous items! Maybe this was because I told her to move them for safety reasons, and she wasnt going to move them to spite me maybe. Either way, those with small children should NEVER consider renting an apartment at Beaverton Apartments if only for this reason alone, not mention others mentioned. Other examples of poor management and the condition of this property, in a smoke tray by the pool, right outside the gate, were empty bottles, including one apparent urine bottle that were left there for over a week. Yes, we took pictures. There are several other issues with this property too, but too long to list here. Hopefully, someone that cares will read these reports and see there IS something wrong here with Beaverton Apartments and Affinity Property Management. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Ive been communicating with Affinity Property Management about these issues with management here. According to them, my reports on here are slanderous. What a laugh. if theyre true, they arent slanderous.
