It's amazing to me that AFNI pays no attention to the police reports or court reports and not only that they are very rude and demands money on the spot not small amounts but thousands and when you say you don't have thousands to give them right away they get very indignant with you. And yes they will suspend your license and they will report you to your state so beware. If you had no insurance whatever the case you are responsible but they don't pay attention to the drivers of their consumers vehicles that are letting people with ni license and no insurance drive their cars. I am currently suing the driver of one of their consumers cars to recoup my money! It's not a scam it's real.

I can't believe how many posts I've read where ignorant people think they don't owe for damages when they didn't have insurance. If you spent as much time investigating the laws as you do trying to find a way out of payi.g your bills you'd realize IT'S THE LAW! And AFNI doesnt suspend your drivers license; you do. I would highly suggest you read your paperwork before you just 'stop' paying. Most states have a default clause & will suspend your license for a year/until paid in full/ etc.
The reason your total went up? Its called a supplement. Could be medical that wasn't paid out yet when the claim was sent to subrogation. The LAW sets a statute of limitations on how long we have to complete payments on a claim for medical & property.
It's interesting that you can also tell if someone is injured. It is very common that people are sore but it gets worse hours later when their adrenaline isn't rushing, or they develop bruising/ swelling/ headaches & need to go to the Dr. THEY have that right. They pay for coverage & are afforded the option to go to the dr if they need. Again, if you had insurance your carrier would pay the insurance company back/ pay directly for repairs. You can request a copy of the estimate. Take a look at it. Look at the cost of labor- depending on what part of the country you're in labor can be as high as $50/hr.
If you feel as though the person has been " men" you have the right to ask for a supervisor & he can review the phone call. We deal with people calling in all day, screaming that they aren't paying, noone was injured, they know someone who could do it cheaper, or you knowing that the damage should only cost 1/2 because you have worked on cars your whole life. IF that was true then you would know just how expensive it is to repair a
Vehicle.
You need to have insurance. Period. If you're going to drive without insurance then be an adult & take responsibility or pay the consquences which can be suspension of your license, registration & possible litigation.
So, you can refuse to pay for damages, ignore the letters, but when you find out that your license/registratration is suspended & you need paperwork from us to submit to the state so you can stop suspension
Don't expect us to fall all over ourselves to rush the paperwork to you. Your procrastination & refusal to take care of YOUR responsibility does not make it OUR emergency!

Hello,
I have experienced the same exact problem. My boyfriend was driving a car in my name, no insurance, got into an accident and now I am being harassed by AFNI. They claim I owe them $900 in damages that occured. Now that I have read your report, I don't believe one word they have to say and I am going to be doing some investigating because I refuse to come out of my pocket with $900 if it's not really owed.
