My wife receive a collection notice from Afni Inc, Dated January 2, 2007

We have never lived in the city listed nor have we ever had a an account with Verizon Communicatons.

I checked my wifes credit report today and there is nothing on it regarding verizon or this collection.

I spoke with Verizon Fraud today and they stated they were being overcome with calls today and are not interested in this matter, we must deal with Afni directly.

I recommend everyone who receive this letter send a register letter giving Afni 30 days to clear matter, if not file suit.

There appears to be alot of this going on with Verizon and this collection agency. As you can tell phone calls don't work and to be honest, they will say it never happened. Write and get them to validate, you want a contract you signed, a complete billing history, and what they received from Verizon, not in house reports, or there own computer printouts. Also, copy everything you have now, along with the conversation you had with Verizon and file a complaint with the attorney general of your state, there should also be some sort of utility commission, there in Tallahassee, contact them also. One thing I found out, these collection company, when they report you to the credit bureau's, the address they claim you lived at will appear as a former address. which is bull Verizon, should be interested, and there stupid for not looking into this, cause I would name Verizon as a co-defendant. Don't fill out any paperwork the collection agency will send you, fraud affidavit are used by them to obtain information they don't have and create or update there files, No state or Federal law give collection agency's the power to investigate fraud and never put you SSN#, on any mailings you do, that includes, who you file a complaint to, alot of times these places copy your letter with there's Try to get something from Verizon, in writting, put the collection letter in with your request for account information, (RRR) don't give alot of personal information, I wouldn't put it pass these people when, there back is against the wall to creat files also
