Shane, Here is what you want to do immediately. Send a DEBT VALIDATION request. Only supply the info they already have, do not give them anything else. Clearly dispute the debt and DEMAND to see whatever you allegedly signed to create the debt, as well as a full account history and itemization of charges. Also demand proof that they are legally entitled to collect on the said debt and request licensing info as well. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself, and keep a copy of the finished letter with the certified# for your records. Do not sign the letter. Just print. Inform them that failure to comply with this request and any other violations of the FDCPA will be met with an immediate lawsuit. Inform them that all incoming calls to your phones are all recorded and being logged by your phone company for police use.
