Make no mistake. Using a gun or using fraud both turn out the exact same way. The victim is cheated out of their money. Anyone who is stupid enough to believe that it's OK to use fraud to cheat people as long as they voluntarily sign up for it has to be out of their mind. What if somebody took your money and made all kinds of false promises? Then, they turned around and laughed at you. Does that sound fair? People who think that fraud isn't a real crime are idiots. Let them get cheated like this one time, and then let's see how they feel. Spend years saving up your money, only to have some crook take it all away and give you nothing in return. Then, maybe you'll begin to understand how some of these victims feel.

I'm not sure how AIU got my information to first contact me, but they did! And I admit I was a little interested because of all the lies they told me about graduating in 18 months and how all my credits were transferable. I wanted to stay home and help my mom with my disabled sister, so I considered online schooling. And then I did fill out the entrance essay but only because she told me that if I delayed I would have to wait several months to get in. and I wanted to see if I could get accepted into the school. But I never ever told them to call me at work, and when I would hang up they would just call right back. These people don't care about what is legal. They will call and call 24/7 if they have to. They only care about getting your money. And they sit there and make you feel guilty for not wanting to apply right then, by saying things like "don't you care about your future" or don't you want to make a good life for your family? I mean who doesn't want that! You have no idea what I have been through with these people. You have no right to be so rude!

I'd like to know what prompted them to call you in the first place. Why did you allow them to call you at work, and how did they get your number? And how did they force you to fill out an application? You are leaving a lot out of your story, most people would simply hang up the phone. Repeatedly calling someone on the phone is against the law in most states, and you could have avoided this trouble very easily.
