The main reason I alerted the BBB of this is to put this company on your radar.  They claim to be a member of the BBB but your website does not acknowledge that.  They are dishonest with their pricing and they bully their customers into thinking they have no say in pricing.  When the movers arrived at my apartment on Jan 11, I was honest in stating there was more items than originally put in the quote.  I acknowledged that the first 5 minutes they arrived.  I would have expected that Joe would have given me a price for the additional items BEFORE loading them into the truck or at least warn me that the price will more than double the quoted price - $1200 went to $3,000.  I would have NEVER let them put all the items in the truck.  This is another example of how they take advantage of their customers.  In regards to delivery, I was told that the truck should arrive later in the week, but no definite date was communicated to me on Jan 11 upon leaving the apartment.  I specifically told Carl that I needed 24 hours notice as to when the truck would arrive.  My building would not allow the truck to enter without advance notice.  I spoke with Carl on Jan 12, Tuesday morning around 10am.  He said the truck may arrive on the 13th. I was very clear to tell Carl again that if I could not get a definite arrival right now, the truck could not come on the 13th.  He said he would find out and let me know.  I never heard back from him.  At 5pm on Jan 12, I got a call from the driver telling me he is here and wants to deliver first thing in the morning.  I said that was not possible.  He started to shout at me.  I told him I would call Carl to clear things up.  Carl was unreachable and would not respond to my text message.  I finally got Joe on the phone and he said that he told me on Monday that the truck would be there on Wednesday.  I disagreed with Joe.  He said the truck would arrive later in the week, but never with a specific day.  I also told Joe that I told Carl numerous times that I needed 24 hours notice for the truck arrival.  Joe said Carl never told him this and it's my fault for not telling him.  I don't feel it's my responsibility to inform every person involved in this move of my requirements. 

Overall, There was clearly a huge gap in communication within this company.  The salesperson, Carl, did not communicate with the owner and foreman, Joe, who in turn did not communicate with his driver, Fabian.  During the many conversations I had with Joe, he accused me of not telling him information that I had already relayed to Carl.  Joe also stated that he has no way to get in touch with his driver. Do we not live in the 21st century?  I asked the driver if he had a cell phone and he said yes....

In regards to his staff of movers, they all arrived smelling of marijuana and I suspect they were smoking marijuana in my bathroom too.  If the BBB could, I would strongly request mandatory drug testing of his crew ASAP or at least alert the appropriate authorities about this illegal drug use on the job.  As for the crew in Florida for the delivery, they were nasty to me because they blame me for having to sleep at a truck stop for 2 nights because I was being difficult about the date of delivery. 

As a result of this move, I now have 4 damaged items and feel that I have been overcharged for the inventory.  I now have to work with a third party company to dispute clearly damaged items.  My valuable time must now be spent filling out claim forms, getting estimates to repair the damaged furniture and waiting for weeks to maybe get a resolution.  If the business resolved these issues upon delivery as I requested, I would not have been forced to file this complaint with the BBB. I also plan to inform every social media board available to NOT USE this moving company.
