This company engages in dishonest, deceptive, unethical and unconscionable business practices. They changed the terms that were agreed upon in the middle of the move while my belongings were held on the truck and I was being charged hourly. The rates went up when they realized they needed another truck, then another man, a new rate, a new and excessively higher overtime rate, an additional charge for a second truck and overnight storage. Unbelievable slime tactics.

I contacted All My Sons at the Jupiter telephone number to book my move. I agreed to an hourly rate of $116/hour. The terms were based only upon the square footage and size of my home and the home that I was moving to.

The movers showed up with one small truck. In the end, my move required more than two full trucks. In the middle of the move, I was handed off to Reesa, John, Robert and Eddie, each one denying that they knew anything from the other. Less than 3 hours into the move, they realized that I did need a second truck. Then began rate changes, increased overtime charges, unjustified additional charges and a lack of explanation or paperwork to itemize the charges.

Day 2 of the move, they showed up without any paperwork, not even the inventory of boxes and furniture - nothing but a credit card slip to sign before they would unload (after they were waiting at my new home since 7:30, at the hourly rate, waiting for my closing, ultimately starting to unload at 11:30). To date, I have still not been provided with anything justifying the charge for the second day - at what rate? how many hours? how they arrived at their grand total?

In the end, I was charged over $5,000 for a local move of less than 5 miles. Their reputable competitor - Fazio's - offered me a guaranteed estimate of $2,145 which included 3 trucks, 7 men, and overnight storage.

It is only fair to report that kelli, although decietful in her description of her move, was fully compensated for any miscommunication. Wade, on the other hand, is being sued for being a liar. He and his wife the doctor, are being sued for slander, defamation, etc. Way to go Wade! you showed them! Keep taking advice from this guy and no consumer is safe from ridicule and legal action.

Extortion charges are the new answer to bad moving companies

#3Consumer Suggestion

Mon, June 11, 2007

I'm delighted to hear that "All My Sons" in Riviera Beach are receving media attention for their extraordinary and unAmerican activities. Spero Georgedakis, who owns the company, nominally resides in North Carolina but also has a Florida residence. He must indeed be a worried man by now because in recent times moving companies such as his have not merely been fined or slapped on the wrist -those in positions of authority have been sent to prison! While wire fraud, mail fraud, etc. are always involved in the indictments, the heavy hitter in today's criminal justice system for the moving company bosses is extortion.....and the sentences are indeed heavy in every sense of the word. Spero and his "All My Sons" family will always simply laugh off even the major fines which the company received in Washington State but criminal charges are an entirely different matter. Oh, by the way, the good news is that the United States does have an extradition treaty with Greece! To all who have been victims of this company across the nation, please simply be patient, as I'm sure that a measure of justice is approaching quite soon.

WFLX Fox Channel 29 West Palm Beach, Fla. reported on All My Sons Moving Co. "scam"

WFLX Fox 29 of West Palm Beach, Florida aired a news report on June 6, 2007 regarding All My Sons Moving Co. and how they "scammed" and took advantage of other customers. What a coincidence! ... A situation very similar to what I experienced with the company. When the All My Sons employee saw the news team at the door to their offices, he turned and walked back into the office and did not answer the door. The news team went around to the back of the building and all of the moving trucks were quickly being driven away. Hmmmmm................ Cynthia of Corporate Headquarters in Addison, Texas has no first-hand knowledge of how they do business here and they are apparently not held to any nationwide standards; however, they must be aware of the many complaints about the Riviera Beach, Florida company. The news station certainly indicated that they had received a lot of response to their story in the form of complaints. The All My Sons customer is unaware of any Corporate Headquarters and it is not indicated on any paperwork. This All My Sons sells themselves as a "Mom and Pop" - family run - local moving company.
