First off, Segment Fees and PFC ( Passenger Facility Charge) fees are Government imposed taxed charged by law. Every airline is required to charge these to every fare paying passenger, and they vary from airport to airport (Local governments charge these) Travel Protection is something you have the opportunity to remove, as well as seat selection fees. If people took an extra 30 seconds to read they charge layout (as these are all laid out on the payment screen before paying) you would see them charged, and also dont flip through the pages so quickly, and read everything it has to say. Allegiant Air is cheap, but they ARE tricky. Travel Protection can be removed and refunded within 24 hours of purchase by calling into the call center, the best number is 702.403.1269 (backdoor Travel Agent line) The way the run the company, they wont be around (in profits) much longer anyways. They treat their employees like garbage and pay measly wages.
