My girlfriend and I were hired by a woman named Heather from Allied Electronics. ([email protected])  We were told that we were going to be selling electronics at convention centers for a fair wage.  We got on a Greyhound bus the following day, headed to Kansas City, MO.  When we arrived, we were put up in a hotel room.  The following day, we got into a big white cargo van, and were dropped off in a rich neighborhood and told that we had to go door to door and tell people that we were athletes doing a fund-raiser for Children's Mercy Hospital.  We both did not want to do this, but were basically forced to do so.  We were told if we did not do this for 2 weeks, we would have to fund our own trip home.  We reluctantly went around scamming innocent people for 3 days in Kansas City.  On the fourth day we moved to Denver CO.  We stayed there, scamming people for the next 11 days, and were dropped off at the Bus Station in downtown Denver, with no money, and a 3 day bus ride home.  Today we both received a w2 in the mail for $775.00 that we were never paid.  Now we have to pay taxes on income that we never received.  If an innocent looking man or woman come to your door, claiming to be doing a fund-raiser for a local children's hospital, to fund a trip to Maui, or anywhere else, beware.  You are getting RIPPED OFF.  Don't be too harsh on the kids doing it, because they are forced to do so, otherwise they will be dropped off, and never picked up again.  If any tax lawyers are reading this, please contact me.  I have names and information on the people resposible for this scam.
