i saw a post about a new amazing skin care product that could reverse the look of aging skin.  Based on the before and after pictures of numerous clients, some well known faces, such as Sandra Buillock and Robin Mc Graw, I thought it might be worth looking into - especially for a $4.95 trial.

I should've guessed it was too good to be true!  As soon as i placed the order (and credit card information was entered) - an additional "great offer" popped up that said an eye cream could be added to the order for $5.95.  There was no way to opt out or click "not interested."  The only way to move forward with the trial order was to click on the continue button.

As soon as I clicked on the continue button, the charges had been automatically added to the account.  Sensing that something was not right, I did a search on the product and found many complaints about the company's poor customer service and less than truthful claims about the product's effectiveness.

I sent a cancellation email 6 minutes after the initial order was placed, but still had an uneasy feeling and made a phone call to customer service just to confirm the cancellation.  After 10 minutes, the call was answered by Quadranna.  She was pleasant and said that even though I was cancelling, I would be charged a 9.95 restocking fee.

I told her that i had read about others who claimed that this was a fraudulent company for that reason.  It had been 6 minutes since the order was placed  - how is there time to process and pull a product that fast?  She assured me that there was and that I would still be charged.

I gave her two specific order numbers to cancel - one for the original trial offer and one for the eye cream.  She said that the computer was only showing the original $4.95 trial order, not the eye cream.  I relayed to her that Allumiderm sent me two separate emails with order numbers for both products and I wanted confirmation that both would be cancelled and that i would not be charged later.  She asked what I meant by "confirmation."  I said I want a confirmation number.

Quadranna told me that I could not have a confirmation number until I cancelled the account, which is what I wanted to begin with.  So she cancelled it, but not before reminding me that I would still be charged the $9.95 restocking fee.  I let her know again that this was not right and that I would like to speak with a manager or supervisor.  She told me that since I no longer had an account, I would not be able to speak to anyone above her!
