ALT.com rip-off Internet
ALT.com is a personals ad website for adults. They have a long ongoing history of bad service. Often it is impossible to log onto the site at all. When you can log on, you frequently can't send mail, view profiles or make any other functions ( except those that make more money for ALT ) work.
What you get is a message that the "web page is not responding" or that the "web page can't be found". When you complain, you get a canned form letter answer that doesn't respond to the problem.
You will also see many members advertising their sexual services for pay-- report them, and ALT is slow to do anything about it. Before you sign up, you can see whether or not there are any profiles listed in your area, but what you DON'T see is that many of these profiles are incredibly stale, that have not been visited by their owners in months, even YEARS.
ALT is a ripoff. Everything said here is also true of their other site, Adult Friend Finder.

I have belonged to alt.com for years and have had no problems until my income forced me into a standard membership. Nevertheless, they still do provide me with lots of opportunities to find others and I still belong there under the handle of NobleMystic.
