On or about June 1 of 2018, I Angel Colon placed a Quote Request for a 2013 Kia Soul Engine in the Auto parts Network ( Part Request Quote). On June 2, 2018 I received a Quote from a man named Bryan Johnson, a salesman for AM Used Auto Parts in Tampa Florida.
He gave me a Quote on an engine of $999.99 for a 32 miles engine that they had one in stock. In noticing that quote was for a 4X4 vehicle I send this man a more accurate information of the vehicle. Told him in an email that vehicle was a 2 wheel drive automatic transmission W/O a keyless start in other words vehicle use key to start engine.I also provided them or him with copies of pictures of my Kia Soul Engine which shows exactly what kind of engine I needed.
Following that Mr. Johnson contacted me thru an email that they had the exact engine with that description nad that engine had 32,000 Miles on it. That they would need me to sign an authorization form and give them my last four digits of my credit card. Upon receipt of that they would ship the engine to my home address.
Form was received thru email and completed by me signed and dated on June 13, 2018 by Mercedes R. Colonmy wife since she owns the credit card used.
June 25, 2018 Received confirmation that engine woluld be shipped next day or so!
On around the first week of July, Shipping company truck arrived at my home, and left an engine which is the 1.6 cyl engine sent by AM Used Auto Parts.
July 2, 2018 Email sent to Bryan Johnson telling him engine was the wrong one, they had shipped a 1.6 cyl engine with 165,000 plus miles. (Engine mileage can be seen on top of valve cover).
I followed thru with several attemps to contact Mr. B. Johnson by emails and by phone calls in other to resolve this issue. Was able to communicate with him on July 5, 2018. After I gave him my purchase number he told me the following: "That the engine with correct size a 2.0 cyl. was going to be pulled out shipped to me and the other Engine would be taken back by shipping company truck".
Today is July 14, 2018 and I´am still waiting and no response yet from any one at AM Used Auto Parts.
I´am a 65 year old man, who is disable and every dollar I have I use wisely and hate to have a dishonest person or persons. still what little I have and
I´am about to get sue by the owner of the KIa Soul who wants the proper engine or his funds back from me.
