You are right Adolf, I have seen those ads too. I was looking at digital cameras and came across a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II 16.7MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) for $350.00 US. This camera lists for $11,999.00 US and you can buy it for about $7-8 thousand in the market. The amazon price quoter had it at 97% off list. The seller was the same as yours Adolf, new, unrated, and had to email them before purchase. My email to them was this: "I was looking through Amazon.com and saw your ad for - Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II 16.7MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) for $350.00 US? What is up with this? Was it run over by a Mack truck? Will I burn my hands if I hold it? Is it a typo? I would buy it in a second if it was working good and ligit. Does it come with any accessories, warranty that can be used in Canada, and what would my cost be to have it landed here in Canada? In fact I might just by two. Colin XXXXXX Sherwood Park, Canada" This was the reply: " Hello, It's brand new in the box ,unopened, with 1 years international warrnaty. We are a small company in Romania and here all products are cheaper for another country, here the medium sallary is 150$. (We are in post-transition, economical speaking) If you want to buy contact me. I can send you the product through amazon.com. all i need is your data. After i send it, amazon.com will send you a confirmation of my shipping. All you have to do is to go at a Western Union (after you get the confirmation) and send me the money. It's fast, simple and more reliable. Thanks " I replied that it was too good to be true and that I didn't need to loose my money that badly. The thing that gets me is that it reflects badly on everything else advertized on their website. If the seller in question wasn't so far off what the product was worth(say $5000.00), I might think that it was a great deal and go ahead with the sale. Amazon owes it to themselves to screen thier sellers a little better.
