It sounds like once again that you just heard what you wanted to hear. And now that you realize you were wrong, you want to WHINE. You need to get a copy of their FARE RULES or CONTRACT OF CARRIAGE & such, they will be glad to send it to you. THAT IS WHAT MATTERS. Just because you think you are special & they should do what YOU think they should doesnt mean that this is the way it is. Face it, you are a WHINING IDIOT !!!!! Quit whining & now go away !!!

You probably could have been more clearer with what it was you wanted to know. The AA agent could also have been clearer with a reponse. However, all information concerning credit and refund policy are readily available from AA (website, customer service). It's a different time we fly in. There is absolutely no possible way that AA could credit a ticket that did not have your name on it (whether you purchased it or not). These aren't rules made by AA, they are rules AA has to follow. In the future, with any airline, it might be best, especially with business travel, that you purchase a refundable fare for just such a situation as a rescheduled or canceled meeting.
