I had been running 2 months behind on my mortgage payments, but to keep from getting further behind, I would send a payment every month. On March 11th, 2009 I sent in a double payment . This payment put me less than 15 days behind. My plan was to send another payment at the end of the month. It was an accepted practice for them to take payments in this matter.

On March 28th, a process server shows up with foreclosure papers. I immediately checked my bank online and found that my check cleared the bank on March 17th. I called AHMSI and was unable to reach anyone. I believed that the foreclosure would be cancelled as they had taken my money.

On April 4th, I recieved a letter from AHMSI dated 3/18,(postmarked 3/31), stating that they were returning my check because it does't represent the full amount due OR wasn't in certified funds. It also said "Please note that your loan was submitted to foreclosure on 03/31." Enclosed was an AHMSI check for the same amount of my check dated 03/30.

I called and was told they had not recieved the check from me and to prove it. I faxed copies of my bank statement and copies of the check they sent me. They told me the foreclosure would be reversed and my loan reinstated. I didn't deposit the check and had the money in the bank for the other payment that was due. They would call me in a week...no one called. I called them and got someone new and again had to prove everything and was given directions on what to do to reinstate and someone would call me. Nope. This went on up until NOW.

I have had 7 supervisors promise to stop the foreclosure and reinstate my loan. At the first phone call the cost of reinstatement was $7205.(4 mo. payments). Each time they had me wait for them to call and then didn't, the amount went up. Now they are supposedly working on a loan modification and have stopped the foreclosure (again I'm waiting) and the amount that they are going to add onto my loan to cover the costs of foreclosure is greater than $22,000.00.

I have done everything that was asked of me since the first conversation with these people. I don't think these fees hould be mine.

I'm still not sure if my house will be sold on July 6th. I do know they have wasted every bit of time I had.
