Oh dear lord. I was offered the same position at the same branch. 960 Missouri Street in Jefforsonville, IN. I was supposed to have an interview tommorow morning. I decided to make a post to my friends on another site to wish me luck. One of them told me about how bad they are and about this site. You people saved my bacon. No way would I work on commission alone.
This thread most of all convinced me not to go. I do think it was a bad idea to buy a new car. But what struck me most was 80 hours of work and only making $50.
Frankly I think I'm worth more.

I have been with this company for a year and have NEVER had a problem. They told me up front what it was going to take and no one lied to me. You had PRESETS GIVEN TO YOU? You should count yourself lucky. If you didn't like what was HANDED to you, then you should have gotten off your lazy butt and made some calls yourself. I set my own and do just fine. I have never been offered presets.
You are on a 90 day trial period when you start so WHY would you buy a brand new car before you gave it a whirl and made sure you could be successful at it? Sounds to me like you suffer from "self fulfilling prophecy". If you don't know what that is (and I doubt you do) then you need to look it up.
Stop crying and quit looking for a hand out. This job pays you according to what you are worth not what the job is worth, so if you only made 50 dollars in 2 weeks, then that speaks volumes about how hard you really worked.

Mark in Missouri, and Bob in Atlanta, is United American owned by the same company that owns American Income? I thought I read it on one of these posts somewhere. If so, I have an interview to check out United American on Mon the 19th. I have never worked for or heard about either of these companies, but it does give me ammo when I visit them and keeps me on the defensive.
Thanks,

I worked for AIL back in 1994 in Louisiana and am surprised at how many complaints this one company has against them. I worked for this SGA for a little over a year, was the top producer and barely made 50k that year. I worked 6 days a week, drove over 45,000 miles per year; got home close to 11:00 every night!!!!!
The leads were bogus then as they probably are now. Union? We start a fictious union and force the employees to pay into it so that we can sucker other union members into buying Whole life policies and term life insurance!!! (consequently you can get far better coverage and lower prices at hundreds of other A+ rated insureance companies)
I know, I'm making this job sound awesome...Left the company sometime in 1995..Got no residuals, BUT my SGA kept all the residuals and claimed that I had received this money to the IRS. Yes, I got audited because AIL decided that once a person leaves, he looses all his residuals, but needs to pay the taxes on the money that he never received.
AIL CEO and founder from Waco Texas (Bernard R.) once climed in front of us in 1994 that BILL CLINTON had called him that night and denied anything about everything. He was an innocent man being hounded by evil politicians. Bernard had the audicity to ask us to believe this TURD of a President!!
In closing, I now sit in a comfortable position within a international company heading up the international operations. I have come a long way in life and still have the bitter memories of those lying cheating ^%^%$$##kers in Waco Texas!!!!
Sue the pants off the company!!!!
thanks
Bob
