Subject: America's Worst
Hi,
I'd just like to say that your report is 100% accurate. The people who work there like to try to make you buy unnecessary things and they are extremely rude. I actually called them today and the woman I spoke with was completely and flat out mean to me, lol. I'm usually not one to take that crap, but I was too tired to argue, so I just hung up. That was actually my first time calling that branch. I, like you (or the reporter of the story) am a member of America's best, only a 3 year member, and I have experienced the same problems as you. It's funny because I often refer to the store as America's Worst, lol. I am a member of the Roosevelt Blvd. branch, but I have since moved to NJ, so I called that branch today and of course had horrible and rude service. Anyway, I could go on for hours, days, even months about how horrible their service is, I;m just happy that my contract is up this year! I would love to help your team of reporters by givi
Sincerely,
Colleen A. McDermott

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:
Their email: [email protected]
Their name: Pele
Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion
Rebuttal:
America's Best is saturated with inept, incompetent people. I went there about 5 years ago to get my eyes checked and my prescription updated. They did the eye exam and the 'Doctor' who performed the actual exam barely spoke any English.
I got my glasses when they were promised and when I tried them on
something didn't feel right. New glasses will sometimes make things appear a bit warped the first day or two you wear them, but this was above and beyond anything I'd experienced. I expressed my concerns to the technician and was told it was completely normal considering what a large adjustment I needed in my Rx.
About 1 year later I went to get my eyes checked again. This time at a highly recommened optometrist's office. When he checked my eyes he noticed something wasn't right either in comparison to my Rx history.
It turns out the 'Doctor' at America's Best had given me a VERY wrong Rx and had, in the process, messed up my vision.
America's Best is America's Bad Idea. I've heard several similar
complaints to mine and yours. It seems to me that they offer nothing but overpriced horror stories.
