Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have Star Mortgage Services which has just informed me (June 17, 2005) that my mortgage has been purchased by and servicing will be performed by America's Servicing Company.

I've been trying for two days to contact America's Servicing Company to coordinate and insure my 7/1/2005 mortgage payment. My (two-day) experience so far is very familiar to the reports in this blog.

For example, I've read the employee rebuttal from Joseph (Army Ranger) refers people to two numbers 1) customer service at (1-800-842-7654 or 2) collections (which isn't my case). Result: There is zero answer from anyone in customer service or collections (I called at 2 p.m. Colorado time). The responses from the above two alternate numbers is IDENTICAL to my experience when I called the 866-430-0675 number provided to me by my original mortgage servicing agent Star Mortgage Services of Kennesaw, GA.

As an Army mustang' and airborne Ranger myself, I disagree with employee Joseph's (former Army Ranger) comments that one should have to' call an organization to keep them on their toes' (my characterization), ensuring that they do the business executes processing payments in an timely, expeditious and accurate manner.

My Open Letter After Action Reviews (AAR) to America's Servicing Company are:

1) have some mechanism to leave voice messages; b) have an email address (which you reply to); c) have an interactive web page.

I've read with alarmripoffreport.com's blog from consumers about America's Servicing Company. Rest assured I'm proactively going to do all the suggestions outlined in the blog

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Dba America's Servicing Company Updated CONFIRMATION America's Servicing Company IS Wells Fargo Home Mortgage ATTN: Michelle Roberts X205-02K, 1 Campus Way, Des Moines IA ATTENTION ALL! This is an Updated-CONFIRMATION to my June 17, 2005 posting. The bottom line up front (BLUF) is that Y-E-S America's Servicing Company IS actually Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The rest of my June 30 posting will describe for benefit of othersa) those actions I took to insure my July 1, 2005 mortgage is posted and b) my recommendations how to deal with a financial institution which you are experiencing difficulties ASC or any other mortgage company and c) historical description of my interactions with ASC between June 17, 2005 to June 30, 2005. At this time I think ASC knows that I know whom they are really (Wells Fargo Home Mortgage), that I pay my bills on time and that I'm not going to tolerate any games. Also aware of class-action remedies (12USC2605 paragraph f). I wrote. A. Those Actions I took Sent email to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Left voice message with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage persons Sent an email filing a complaint against Wells Fargo Home Mortgage dba America's Servicing Company with the BBB of Iowa http://www.desmoines.bbb.org/ Received prompt call-backs from ASC on June 18, 2005. ASC provided loan number and direct mailing address. Sent a certified check, along with notarized letter in a certified, return receipt, priority mail [to insure that check AND letter was delivered to Wells Fargo dba ASC BY THE [July 1, 2005] due date]! For Certified Mail 7005 0390 0001 0263 0819 Delivered, June 27, 2005, 5:46 am, DES MOINES, IA 50328 Arrival at Unit, June 27, 2005, 4:22 am, DES MOINES, IA 50318 Acceptance, June 25, 2005, 12:06 pm, SAN DIEGO, CA 92108 Upon the return receipt being delivered I will file it in the Clerk of Court, Recorder's Office, [County You Live In]. B. My Recommendations Do NOT press ANY buttons when you call ASC. If you press ANY buttons the system will NOT recognize you and therefore won't let you on. Simply stay silent, permitting the system to think you are a rotary dial caller. You will reach an ASC person. Send certified check with notarized letter. US Postal Service provides FOUR means of confirming WHOM received your package and THREE means of Proof of Delivery' The four Confirming' means are Delivery Confirmation, Signature Confirmation, Certified Mail and Registered Mail. The three Proof of Delivery are Express Mail, Signature Confirmation and Return Receipt http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm?from=home&page=0035trackandconfirm In the future I am considering (and I recommend) sending via Proof of Delivery' two of three methods Signature Confirmation and Return Receipt and three of the four available Confirming' Methods of Delivery Confirmation, Signature Confirmation and Certified Mail. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage CORPORATE officers are: http://www.wellsfargo.com/about/corporate/corporate_governance [email protected] Wells Fargo CEO is Richard M. Kovacevich, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Wells Fargo Home Mortgage email addresses are: 12 United States Code 2605 describes the requirements related to mortgage servicing provider. C. Description of my interactions with ASC between June 17, 2005 to June 30, 2005. After performing MUCH validating research of my home, I too CONFIRMED legal records (taxation and assessor, Security Exchange Commission) that America's Servicing Company IS Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I also obtained the email addresses of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage CORPORATE officers. I sent an email the late evening/early morning of June 18, 2005. By 11 a.m. I received a call-back from a Michelle R. from the Des Moines office. She also validated my research by stating "...since you know we ARE Wells Fargo Home Mortgage" (DOUBLE BINGO!!). I politely and civily informed her that ASC had raised my 'consumer red flags' by a) having no phone listing available thru 800/866 service b) no alternate phone service available thru www.dexonline.com (or any other service for that matter); c) ASC's web page IS only for mortgage brokers and not the consumers and d) inability to either get thru ASC's (866) 430-0675) phone and get a live person AFTER one week of phone calls and the inability to leave a voice message with ASC. By the way, I tried the other customer service and collection phone numbers listed in this BLOG and got the very same response. Michelle R. apologized and explained that a) they are working on their web site (which I believe is http://www.ascservicing.com/publicSvlt/nav/PublicNavL1.jsp/requestPage/public/WhoIsASC.jsp b) that the system doesn't' let you thru because the loan has not been set up yet and therefore doesn't recognize you. /s/ [June 30, 2005] Signed Army (back from Iraq), Stationed In Colorado [email protected] Army (Back from Iraq) Colorado Springs, Colorado U.S.A. Be responsible and don't quibble. Always pay your bills on time but always be a 'buyer-beware' consumer! P.S. --The webmaster here on http://www.ripoffreport.com advises that companies are trying to close him down. Be advised that I will try to form a web page about ASC. I'm also going to contact webmaster to discuss some ISO9600 and other means to have this be 'the site to go to' about business ripoffs. Click here to read other Rip Off Reports on Wells Fargo Bank
