America's Servicing Company Deceptive payment address information on company letterhead. Payments never applied. Checks lost!!! Des Moines Iowa
This company took over my loan from GMAC in October 2006. They never applied my payment made for October 2006 to GMAC. They said that the payment was not transferred to them & that I would need to make the October & November payment asap. I refused to send 2 payments since that would be doubling October's payment. I made my November payment & mailed to PO BOX LISTED ON PAYMENT COUPON. By the middle of December I mailed my December payment to the aforementioned PO BOX as instructed. By the Middle of January 2007 I recv'd a notice of Foreclosure action on my account for NON-PAYMENT OF Mortgage payments for October, November, December & January.
What we found out after contacting the Customer Service Dept is that the PO BOX 10388 Des Moines, IA is no longer in use and that they would never get our checks in time. I needed to stop payment on the 2 checks ($40.00) out of my pocket, & do a payment over the phone to get this caught up. America's Service Company online site now has our account paid to date, but I recv'd a letter yesterday (01/29/07) stating we are $8300.00 past due as of 01/26/07. Funds on online site were posted 01/22/07. These people are idiots!!
