AMERICREDIT My five year loan had some deferred payments due.... Brad Funamori (Collection Mgr) was contacted when a letter demand for the roughly $3000.00 was due. Brad assured me if the entire amount was paid within the 120 days, NO REPO would occur. Guess what---70% $2200.00 was paid, the balance was to be paid the same week (in plenty of time of their deadline) was scheduled to be paid off, but then-REPO Fort Worth Texas
So, the 5 year loan was done June 15th, 08 with payments that were deferred during the 5 years and a demand for payment of $3000.00 was now due. I called and spoke to Brad Funamori, Americredit collection manager who was asked point blankly how to handle this without causing a repo.... he stated that i had 120 days or until Oct. 15th, 08 to pay off this amount and they WOULD NOT REPO MY TRUCK......OK, I sent over $2,200.00 in and scheduled the last payment to arrive BEFORE ) Oct. 15th, 08. No worries right?
WRONG---After several collection calls (standard) I kept telling them no problem, I have already paid 70% of the final fees due, and that the entire balance was already scheduled to be paid before Oct. 15th.....
On Oct. 9th, 08........they REPO'd my truck. They agreed to NOT REPO---I sent $2200.00 as agreed........BUT THEY REPO'd the truck BEFORE the 120 days was up.......... the balance on the total loan was about $900.00 and was being sent to them before the date we agreed it would be due.......
THIS JUST COST ME OVER $1,500.00 MORE and $175.00 storage fees + the $900.00 due for the loan. Due to a three day weekend.......no car for SIX DAYS ------ so I PAID OFF ALL FEES TO AMERICREDIT AND THE REPO COMPANY--- NO MORE MONEY WAS DUE ANYONE ONE--- THE TRUCK SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED TO ME-------- I DEMANDED THE TRUCK--- THEY REFUSED TO RELEASED THE TRUCK (MY TRUCK NOT THEIRS) and told the repo company if I didn't sign their release form.........THE TRUCK WOULD NOT BE RELEASED TO ME.........
I CROSSED OUT THEIR CRAP AND SIGNED THEIR RELEASE FORM-----
THEY STILL REFUSED TO RELEASE MY PAID OFF TRUCK TO ME----
Why? I CROSSED OUT THEIR VERBAGE ON THE FORM...........
A NEW FORM HAD TO BE FAXED FROM THEM TO THE REPO COMPANY FOR ME TO SIGN and if I didn't sign they made it crystal clear they would not release the truck that they have NO INTEREST IN WHATSOEVER..........MY TRUCK WAS ILLEGALLY BEING HELD BY THESE A-HOLES-----I WAS PISSED OFF
I AM SUEING AMERICREDIT for Breach of the new agreement and for UNLAWFULLY RETAINING MY PROPERTY WHILE THEY BLACKMAILED ME TO SIGN THEIR FORM------- My truck was transported half way accross the state of Washington--------- THEY SCREWED ME TWICE
It takes a lot to get me UPSET..........they seem to thrive on it.
I am filing court papers tomorrow as a result
and now I have a REPO on my credit report........... Nice People? NO they are LIARS AND THIEVES
I WILL SEE THEM IN COURT AND MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE DEALERSHIPS KNOW HOW THEY SCREW CUSTOMERS---------
