Well there was no sob story involved with my car getting repo'd I was a good customer who paid almost always on time maybe a week or two late at times but my bill was paid monthly. This is for a 2004 Ford minivan original loan amount for $12,000. I also blame the car dealership for this mess. Anyway it started in January.

My husband recieved a visa check card from his bank and decided it was easier to use it when paying certain bills. He and I work alot and get busy so sometimes writing checks to mail out or getting to the bank is hard so this was a blessing to have a Visa check card to use. So we go online and go to the bill paying area of the americredit website. My husband did it putting his numbers in and even got a COMFIRMATION page...he even emailed me the page that said "Thankyou for your payment it has been processed" and a comfirmation number. We saved the page (didn't print it since printer is out of ink) and think all is well.

In January and February my husband makes payments this way. We never recieved any warnings from Americredit just our monthly bill. We never got a call NOTHING. Our next payment was due on March 11 on march 13 our car was taken. We called the cops who informed us we have been repo'd. I call americredit to find out they don't accept credit cards online and DENIED my claim that the computer ever accepted it. Of course my saved confirmation page since it's through their website no longer exists....when I tried to reopen it I got a blank screen telling me the page no longer exists. I feel so dumb for not having a paper trail but never imagined this would happen.

Well lots of money later, western unioned the payment, paid the fee for repoing my car of over $400. (they made money off my heartache) I go to pick up my car to find damages that nobody will pay for. To add I had to pay a $30. storage fee and an ADDITIONAL $50. that there was no explaination for it was just a fee to be paid or no car...OH and repo man made me meet him in a parking lot blocks from his lot and I had to pay and sign a form before I can look at my car...thank god I got it but it was damaged.

To add insult to injury I now owe Americredit $45000. Due to late payments I know my original contract never stated this or I would have NEVER signed but I apparently pay 21% interest for EVERY DAY my payemnt is past due. So that 90days over due that wasn't my fault I was severly penalized. I am in tears this has ruined my credit, my house hunting is terminated I am ruined basically from this company.
