Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Americredit is a ripoff company that abuses that there is little protection against them. I consider myself tremendously stupid, I presently have a second loan with them. I pre-paid my first loan by two years since I was sick and tired of hearing my phone ring all day long begging for my payments. One day I just decided to pay it off. At that time I finally learned that for two entire years I paid 240.00 in interest and only 15.00 to principal and at the time of pay off I had to pay more than the cost of the car when I first bought it. Three years later I applied for a car loan and the first company to award the loan was Americredit, I was extremely hesitant to buy the car, I explained to "Nancy" from Coleman Chevrolet that I had a very bad experience with Americredit and I did not want to buy a car through them. For two days "Nancy" called me several times and she assured me that this time the loan was going to be different to which she assured me that she had spoken to a supervisor at Americredit.

I was a fool and believed her and sign the papers. Gave a down payment and left with the car. I made several payments but I had lost my job and moved to another state, I got behind two months, they called, called, called and called but I could not get a straight answer until a few days ago that directly I spoke to a supervisor who told me that my pay off, after had paid $4,000.00 in one year is exactly what my loan was for, she told me that I pay $10.00 in late fees PER DAY !!!.

I am going to file with the better business bureau a complaint, this is a rip-off and the car dealership money hungry got me in all this trouble since the contract I signed with them does not specify anything about late payments. These companies should be deeply investigated !!

You will never get a straight answer from this company. I have reported them to the BBB, Attorney General, FTC and they try to lie their way out of everything. What they will do is send these agencies copies of things that customers never receive. They pretent to be so helpful and they have completely ignored everything I have sent to them. I even send my letters certified and have a signature to prove they were received and I still get no response. If you do get your vehicle repoed, they will not tell you in advance. I found out six days later. And while I was still deployed on active duty with the military, they put my car in charge off and never told me until after the fact. These people are underhanded and loansharks. THe Repo people they use are as crooked as they are. The ones they sent to my house , stole out of my car and also stole a social security card from my wife along with her billfold. We took them to court and the Repo crook never showed up and the summons was served on him and his office worker, who is his so called secretary, said he lives in Florida now. But he has six addresses here and calls them his business. He is running from the law now because he is as crooked as Americredit. They would only use a company as low as they are. We are refiling the summons and going after his records and his business itself. You will pay three times more for your vehicle than when purchased. I have told everyone I know how crooked Americredit is and I will continue to boycott them until they are shut down and shown for the crooks that they are. Reporting them to these agencies is the first step in a long process, but it is a good step and it is a wise step to report this kind of fraud. Best wishes.
