Amerigas ripoff and price gouging Cambridge Ohio
We started using Amerigas for our heating needs in 1998 or 1999. Everything fine at first. Then we relocated to Canton, OH. My husband went first and he called Amerigas and had them to deliver just enough propane for a few weeks. I think I paid 150.-200.00. In a couple of weeks I moved to Canton.
While in Canton I received a bill from Amerigas for 478.00 for propane delivery. Called the company and the girl at the office said that they would set me up on a payment plan to pay the 478.00. I said I don't think so. Never ordered the propane, not paying for the propane.
Come to find out that their driver dropped it at the wrong house. Showed the neighbors address out the road (about 8 miles out the road ) had called. The girl at the comapny would talk to the head man and call me back. Two days later no word from them. I call and they are not charging me. Then they come and take the whole tank. This includes my 200.00 worth of propane I had put in.
We are now back at the house and had propane delivered in Oct. and paid 363.00 for 250 gals. Called today and they want 578.00 for 250 gals. That's 2.13 per gal.!!
Called another company and he is charging 1.33 per gal. Isn't propane all the same?
