Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We invested $20,000.00 for 10 terminals in May 2003. My husband had just had back surgery 6 mo's prior to this and because the surgery resulted in complications, he was unable to return to work doing what he had done his entire life as a Mechanic. When the opportunity was presented to us by an Ameripos Rep, we believed him for what he promised. They even provided references to call and everyone was "great". They try to make it sound as if they are working for you, but are only keeping the Distributors appeased.

Right from the start, their Rep did not tell us we would have to do the locating ourselves. He said they had a Locator and the locations were ready to place these terminals in, all we had to do was take the terminals there. When we called the President of AmeriPOS with this issue, he apologized this "misunderstanding" and said there was an additional cost to have a Locator physically help us. Since we did not have anymore money to invest, he 'worked this out' by taking two of our terminals back and assigned us a Locator who was physically here in the Dallas area. This Locator turned out to be a total fraud and only added to this whole nightmare.

He did not assist us with anything other than ripping us off even more by claiming the competitiveness of the pre-paid cellular rates. He convinced us to buy Cellphones by saying that was the greatest investment of all with this Company. We gave him 1/2 the money to place the order as we trusted him, after all he was represting AmeriPOS. He got fired by AmeriPOS before that could be concluded. We no longer wanted the cellphones and requested our money back ($479.00). Neither AmeriPOS nor "their" Locator want to refund our money. They both refuse to take responsibility as one accuses the other of having these phones and/or had nothing to do with it. Now this Locator claims he is suing them!

AmeriPOS misled us as to the commissions and returns that the terminals could reasonably be expected to generate. They failed to clearly indicate the Merchant commissions are deducted from the Distributors commission in the representations. They made it seem as if the commissions were separate. The Distributors get the smallest piece of the pie.

AmeriPOS is in the business of stealing money from innocent Investors. They falsely indicated the abilities of the terminal. The question here is why they felt the need to mislead us as to the abilities of these terminals when it was their claims that prompted us to invest a great sum of money. If we're not making money, they're not making money. So who's winning here?? They use deceptive and fraudulent tactics to sell the so called business opportunity. This is a lose situation from the start for the innocent.

I want what is legally mine,i.e., $20,000.00. This is now so minor when you think about all the stress, grief and frustration it has caused. DO NOT INVEST IN THIS COMPANY!

Ms. Winkler please contact me and my wife. We were ripped off by these people at AmeriP.O.S. and the debit card scam. The first report we sent to rip off report we had a different email and that was back in 2003 and these people were just being complained abou. I read what you wrote in rip off and these people just keep changing there name from one company to another and lying by giving a false name. We were scammed out of about $27,000.00 dollars and these guys were suppose to send us our money back because about 3 days after getting a terminal ( not all we paid for )and someone called and told us to meet a guy at a store that was suppose to locate a terminal for us no one even showed up. When I got back home I called them in Florida and was only then told that a locator there in Florida was calling stores here in Dallas TX. When I talked to this salesman who called himself Leland Balber I told him I was disabled and he told me then that they already had locations for these machines would locate and install the terminals for me and all I had to do was send in the paper with a voided check. I was very mad and asked for my money back right then. But now that after seeing all the people who have been scammed by these people you can guess how that has ended. I even spoke to a man who said that he owned these companies that sold phone cards and visa-master card debit cards that even tried to lie about his name that it was Rick Knight but the receptionist gave his real name Rick Nye and makes me wonder how many names they were trying to hide. We do need help with this because we re-financed our home to do this and letf us broke and no where to turn. I sent you and email with my name D.and L. in Grand Paririe. Thank you so much.
