Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
What is said about Ameriquest - Argent makes their employees commit fraud on loan files and then uses it against them to fire them when they need to let go of people when business is down is so true. I took a job with them right out of college and was promised the world. Was sent through a training program where all people did was drink and do drugs and have orgies for the whole time.

Since I am from a conservative home I was labeled boring and stuck up because I dont participate in these things. More and more as I moved through the system there I saw signatures forged on legal documents, phony appraisals, over valued appraisals among other atrocities.

When this company goes down and burns with the devil all of the management who allow this will go to jail. It will be like the savings and loan scandal and Enron. Now they are starting to donate lots of money to charities to look favorable in the public eye. Too late for them.

They fired me and a few other people after the manager taught us how to commit fraud. Now we work for an honest company that is not perfect, but it is heaven in comparison and no fraud is allowed.

All of us were new to the business and everything we knew we were taught by their own managers. Then they use the excuse that we forged things when they told us to. I made copies of documents which I am going to show to a court when the truth comes out.

It is going to be a great thing when this company is shut down and all the managers are in jail where they belong. They are a threat to the financial health of any homeowner. Lord help those who come upon Ameriquest-Argent! Beware!

I've been an Account Executive with Argent for some three years now. I'm hardly supporting a drug habit -- I'm supporting a family. Are we well-compensated? Yes, we are. AND -- we work our behinds off. Like it or not -- we are the face of Argent -- and that means that when there are issues, WE are the punching bag. Even when the issues are brokers who don't now what they are doing -- WE still get blamed. The very reason production employees are on the inside is because they do not have what it takes to be on the outside. Most do not -- which is the reason the average life expectancy of an AE -- either with Argent or elsewhere -- is 6 months. Before running your mouth about Argent only caring about the AEs -- try being one sometime. The AE's are the ones who take the risks -- my base salaries won't feed my family -- but my hard work, going out early and staying out late, answering the phone 24/7 -- will. That's what I'm paid for. Fraud is in every company -- and it doesn't have to be supported by management to exist. My experience has been -- + John O'Connor is tough on appraisal reviews. He cut values all the time. All we have is the collateral on subprime borrowers -- many who are recently out of BK or foreclosure looking for high LTVs. Sometimes I think he's a bit too conservative -- but, I respect that the property is the only assurance we have. + Fraud to clear stips? You must be kidding. While many account mgrs have a high work load and certainly can make mistakes when clearing something -- I get many calls every week from angry brokers begging me to get some condition waived. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I hear on the street that Argent is too conservative. + Office affairs are bound to happen -- they happen everywhere. It's unprofessional -- but it still happens. It's pretty silly to think that Argent supports this -- and I know of many managers who have been fired for inappropriate behavior. + Are we perfect? No. But the fraud you speak of -- I've never witnessed and have instead had a team who would request a new copy of an undated document -- rather than just handwrite the date in themselves. Something so insignificant as this -- doesn't happen.

same thing happened to others, trained to commit fraud by Argent

I was trained to commit fraud by Argent. They encouraged us to close as many loans as possible without checking to see if what was sent to us was fraud or true. They dont care about anybody except the Account Executives and making sure they have enough money for their drug habits. Also the woman in charge there Dawn Severino is an extremely nasty horrible person. She is the worst possible manager you can imagine. The same goes for the appraisal dept. John Oconner gives pumped up values to appraisals and if you dont do what he says he will get you fired. Argent will one day be in the news as one of the biggest rip offs in the industry. Also another manager Mary Mcwade sleeps with the young guys on her team and then when she gets sick of them she fires them. What a way to work.
