When you refinance with Ameritheft, they have your head spinning so fast you don't know whats up or whats down. You only find out later that the reps were liars and low-down theives. The reps who closed my loan were gone by the time the ink dried on my contract. I would have gotten the heck out of here also if I had screwed over so many people. You can question them all you want but you never, ever get a straight answer. That is, AFTER closing. Before they reel you in, they will answer every question you have, with a lie and a big smile on their face. Oh they're good. I believe Ameriquest has a training course called "How to Deceive a Customer Without Blinking an Eye." And these people do this every single day without a thought. No conscience, no guilt. They can deceive the elderly and the desperate and not think another thing of it. Amazing. I do have a conscience and could never be in this line of work. It's crooked and dishonest and I live for the day their lying reps, along with everyone else in this fraudulent company, are out on the street looking for jobs. Out on the street with the people they put out of their homes unfortunately. It makes me sick to think of all the people who have lost their homes to this wretched company. Just keep hanging in there Florida. Everything looks miserable and dismal right now but it will all work out in the end. Just like Ameriquest will get theirs in the end. No company can operate like they do for long. They have screwed way too many people. At least, I'm sure, they won't get any more customers from Alabama. I have spread the word to as many people as I can. I work for a very large company and it is posted on every bulletin board to never, ever get involved with Ameritheft. The local news, the local newspaper and the local radio stations are all now aware of how crooked this company is. Keep your chin up and don't get upset by the responses you may receive here. There are far more people that are in the same boat as yourself than others who just wish to rub more salt in our wounds. They are the ignorant ones, not the customers they have screwed. Good luck and I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Take care.

It could be like many of us that when loans were taken out debts were to be consolidated and when it came time for closing said loan it was stated that they couldn't pay all cost due to this and that ending up with high closing costs but in a said time we could redo all paper work and things would be straightened out and when said time came you call and they say ummm no can do we dont do that anymore so your stuck with their high cost as well as debt payments they promised to help you with. And you right once they start the ball rolling on a forclosure they wont talk to you. But yet they will call you and hound you weekly threatening to have you removed from your home unless you can refinance and unless you want to refinance with them they will ignore anyone you send their way asking for corroperation or payoff amounts. I've seen it here many times read what you sign don't believe in what your told but when your raising three kids and a family member recommends you and they promise to make things better I don't know anyone that wouldn't say hmmm might be worth a try lets go for it. Good luck to all those fighting this mess

I do understand that Ameriquest has done many bad things from previous posters, but I do not understand your post. First, do you have the settlement statement where they kept out the $1800 to pay Sears? Did you ask Ameriquest if that check was cashed by Sears? Did you give Ameriquest your Sears account number so that when Sears applied the payment, it would have posted to the correct account? Second, don't you have your own homeowner's insurance? Everyone knows that if your mortgage company has to purchase homeowner's insurance for you, it is much higher than you can get on your own. With living in Florida, I would think you would make sure you had it. In addition, you state that Ameriquest purchased insurance for you at the rate of $10,000 per year, but your payment only went up $370.00 per month. That's only $4,400 per year. That is about how much homeowner's insurance costs in Florida for a home worth about $300,000. If your home is worth less than that, you should get your own insurance. If you cannot, Ameriquest has every right to insure it and charge you. Also, as to the American Express payments, when you got your check from Ameriquest, and it was less than your settlement statement showed due to the AMEX payments, didn't you question it then? You cannot try to change previous things when they are ready for foreclosure because then they won't listen to you. I truly wish you luck in keeping your home.
