AMERIQUEST MORTGAGE COMPANY RIPPED ME OFF, DISPLAYED RUDENESS WHEN MAKING A PAYMENT, HARRASSED ME AND LIED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES ripoff Orange California
I walked in to pay my bill personally as I had been doing. This one particular time I had misplaced my statement for the month. I told this to the person who was waiting on me - he was the SAME person who originated my loan - the SAME person who made a HUGE dollar error at the closing of my loan - he said "oh I can't help you without your statement." His associates looked on; evidently, they were not surprised at the attitude being displayed by him.
This originator's name is Scott Pierce, by the way - Lincoln branch in Rhode Island. One of them convinced him to help. So, instead of calling customer service as it was suggested to him, he led me into an empty office, put the phone in front of me, and closed the door behind him.
The customer service department was crazy after they heard what Pierce did. I got off the phone and told him that his colleagues were not happy with him. He responded with sarcasm. So I said, "So, Scott, what you're basically saying is that after you originate the loan, that's it" His reply... a sarcastic "that's it" - I informed him that Customer Service requested that he "lockbox" the check - he responded in anger, "I don't have a lockbox!" he signed the receipt ...stretched out his hand to put the check in front of my face, and looked the other way, as he fumed.
What a feeling of warmth, ha? Now THAT'S what I call a company you want to do business with again and again, wouldn't ya say?
Even when I talk to Ameriquest employees and share with them my problems with the company, THEY AGREE!!!!!
You always have the choice to go with another company. I recommend that you exercise that choice.
It's amazing how this company has stayed in business - consumers must really be self-inflicting.

I have an opportunity to work for Ameriquest. After reading this information about AmeriquestI am not sure if I should take the job or look for another mortgage company to work for. The Brach Manager at Ameriquest told me they are changing and they run an ethical business. What would you do? Thank You!!

Yes, I confess. I presently work for Ameriquest. I have to admit, it's like a spider web in this place. I will be lieaving soon, as soon as I can find something to pay my own bills. Ameriquest trains us to do our job, but not in a polite way. We're told to put the money first - customer third (our own paycheck second). I hate this company. I am so sorry for every person I've taken victim, alias "customer" - Ameriquest is being found out little by little, but faster than they might imagine. Town and Country is a name they go by in another location - I'm told that this is borderline illegal - is this true?
