Ameriquest Mortgage ripoff They are all robber and thieves with ink pens. Orange California
After the fact, I read on the internet that Ameriquest Mortgage deals almost always in mortgage to people with bad credit. I have excellent credit. I refinanced my mortgage with Ameriquest in June 2003. "Yes they Contacted Me".
My first payment was due Aug.1 2003. I sent the payment in the mail on August 6,2003. I have received 2 phone calls at my employment in less than a week from Ameriquest about my payment being late. I informed them that technically my payment is not late until the 16th of the month. I have been told by 3 diffent Ameriquest staff that unless my payment was in there office by the 1st day of each month I would be receiving a phone call each and every month from Ameriquest.
Today I received the second phone call at work I informed Ameriquest never to call me at my place of employment again. How many people get their mortgages paid exactly on the 1st day of each month.
I have written a letter to Ameriquest which will be dropped in the mail tommorrow informing them that I will not be harrassed by their staff every time my mortgage payment was not in their office by the 1st day of every month. I am also going to contact the OHIO Attorney Generals Office to determine if I have any recourse due to this type of harrassment.
If all else fails I will refinance again because I will not be harrassed by this mortgage company because my payment is not in their office each and every month on the 1st. They have already made their profit. The balance of my mortgage went up $5,000.00 when I refinanced with them. Their company has grown so big is the past several years because they are preying on the people that have bad credit.
The businesses in this country connot stay in business today unless they are crooked and cheating their customers. They are all robber and thieves with ink pens.

nothing but nightmares regarding Ameriquest

I know this orginal posting was months ago, but I have had nothing but nightmares regarding Ameriquest and was told today about this site. I have been reading all these posted and had to respond. Nannie you are a lucky one then. I to have had more phone calls then you can imagine and they start right on the 1st and get more persist from there. I have tried telling them not to call me at work, I was told not to be late then. This last month, I came in from lunch the receptionist at my work gave me a "message" state my mortgage company called, and to please return the call at this number regarding my payment which at this time is late. She is a good friend and laughed it off. I know it is due the first I am doing the best I can to make the $1230 dollar payment I stupidly agreed to after all the other problems I can list about them.

I guess I'm a little confused by the statement that Ameriquest called you each month because you were paying after the 1st of the month. I have been with Ameriquest for over one year and have NEVER received such a call. I usually pay by phone or over the internet and have many times made the payment on the 16th of the month and NO ONE from that company has ever called me on it.
