Ameritrust called me on the phone and promised me what sounded at the time like a good opertunity for me to get my credit established and rebuild a good credit rating. They offered me a 2000 dollar credit account visa card. Asked me for all my information to establish my account and told me that it would cost me a one time activation charge of 200 dollars. I in turn get 4 50 dollar vouchers good for purchases or credit tward my balance. After all information was exchanged they gave me a confirmation number. I had told them that my budget was not able to support all 200 dollars in one payment so we set up 2 payments of 100 dollars and secured the agreement.

The next day I made 7 attempts to contact customer service and left 7 messages. By the next following day I made several more attempts to contact Ameritrust with no success. I got a little worried so I decided to see what I could find on the web. Thats when I found out the truth about Ameritrust. The first listing was this site! On one of my phone calls with Ameritrust's answering system I left a message telling them I am cancelling my application with them and wanted nothing to do with them.

After reading all the reports about Ameritrust, I went straight to my bank and put a stop payment against this company. Since then, they have accessed my account twice and tried to deduct there 100 dollar payments. I am now closeing my account so they will not have access to it anymore. I am glad I found out about this company before it was too late. I know others have not been so lucky. If this site saves anyone else from the grip of these scam artists, I will be truly greatful. I am now considering legal action against these people, who pray on non-suspecting people who only want a better life for there family.

All of the people contacted by Ameritrust Financial are given a chance to recieve this credit card to help the rebuild their credit score. They are never told that it is a MC or Visa. Our card is an unsecured credit card with a $2000 line of credit. There is a $200 deposit to accept the card. That is returned to the customer when they recieve their card in the form of 4-$50 vouchers. The vouchers are to be used as payment once you start recieving your statement. It is up to the customer to send in the vouchers on time so we can report them to the credit bureau. The reason any payment was ran on Mr. McPherson is due to the fact he was never canceled out of our system. Even though he was misinformed and put out the stop payment, our processing center was never notified. We do apologize for any misunderstanding that has happened between Ameritrust Financial and Mr. McPherson. This program does work and we help people rebuild their credit score sucessfully all the time. Unfortunately people only report the negative and not the positive.
