First and foremost this is not something that I would normally do, but I feel I have no choice. Tracy has been my family photographer for a little over two years now and I have never had any major issues before.
Towards the end of last year Tracy posted an offer on Facebook for a photo shoot costing only $100.00 and the recipiant would receive 25 edited images. Not a bad deal and I needed to get pictures anyway so I responded. I had to delay getting pictures since my husband was not avilable, by mid-January this year (2014) I let her know that it was just going to be my two kids getting pictures. We set a date and time for 1/25/14. Due to recent personal issues in Tracy's life she had to bring her kids which wasnt an issue since we were meeting at a park, she took several candid shots of my kids and we were good to go. As I was packing my kids she and her kids came over to me so I could talk to her and pay her, as we were talking about posting pictures online so I could send some out to family right away her daughter told me that I should pay her mom more since she does a good job, I agreed and had already planned to pay her more.
I paid her $160.00 and she agreed to post a few photos online so I could mail them and get me a disk of all the photos, that was the usual deal. A week went by and nothing, everytime I asked if any where done so I could mail them I would get the response she was working on them and because of her personal issues there was a delay. After a month I had expected something and was being told that she was mailing them. Many messages back and forth me not getting them offering many times to drive the 40 mintues and pick them up myself or meet in the middle, everytime my offer to hand get was refused and she would say that she was mailing another copy.
Now today after me demanding a refund and her telling me that she had mailed out copies three times, even saying that she was mailing a copy via certified mail, she is telling me that I will have to pay for a second copy. As she has "unfriended" I can no longer tell her anything but I can tell you this: find another photographer, the prices that she offers is great but in the end the hassel and disappointment isnt worth it. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have sent my story to the local media and we will see where that takes me.
Dont let your memories be captured by someone that is proving to have poor business ethics.

I’m no athlete and not a local celebrity but that shouldn’t matter right? It was just pictures of my kids, their important too. Right? My point is I paid for a product/service upfront and received nothing in return expect for heartache. Be careful when you pay up front because no matter how long you know someone they can still steal from you and treat you poorly. As of today the 10th of April I have still not received the pictures or my money back, this could have been resolved weeks ago by either posting the pictures online or letting me pick them up as I suggested before it got to this point.

Tracy has taken my family photos for YEARS. I have experienced nothing other than absolute professionalism. She goes above and beyond what is expected and has always impressed us.
There are always those few people who want more and more, especially when they purchase disocunts. Tracy has photographed local news anchors as well as local professional athletes. She has a stellar reputation and is an incredible photographer.
