Ancira Chrysler Jeep Bait And Switch Routine Dishonest ripoff, lie, rude, false advertisement San Antonio Texas
I recently saw an ad in the paper for a 2002 VW Passat for $7880 in the San antonio Express news and called about it. It ws an advertisement for Acira Chrysler Jeep on I-10 between Ramsgate and Huebner. A man named Joe Rubio answered and told me about a 2002 Passat with black leather interior, V6, automatic, 61k miles that was for $7880. I told him that sounded like a great deal and told him to make sure. He told me that "Ancira is a multimillion dollar company sir, we will not sell a car that has a rebuilt title or lie to you." I said ok I will be there at 8:30 in the morning to get the car. He told me ok he would be there at 8:30.
Well, I went there this morning at 8:30 and when he got there he told me "Oh well I made a mistake, the one that is $7880 is actually this car," and showed me to another Passat with over 100k miles, grey interior, 4 cylinder, and a station wagon. I brought the paper and showed him what I wrote down when I talked to him the night before. He said "Oh well I made a mistake sorry."
I then asked to speak to his manager. I told his manager about it and told him how the old bait and switch technique that they were trying to pull was unethical and wrong. He responded with "You do what you have to do to sell cars, what are you going to do about it?" At that point I left.
I dont feel this is very good business practices at all and I fell something should be done about it. Thanks for your time.

Had a guy who lived next store, who worked for ancira chevy on Bandera. Was interested in a chevy truck. Went down to see him at the lot. He tells me he'll sale me the truck at $300 over invoice, $12,500. Told him I'd think about it. Couple days later gunn chevy has the same truck in the paper at $10,500. Drive over to gunn. Same EXACT truck for $2000 less plus tax. Bought a ford instead. Guy comes out his front door, sees my new truck, starts yelling at me. What an AH.
