Just now, I spoke to AOL representative regarding a billing riff-off since October 1999. Jennifer, a service representative told me that they can only refund me $95.00 (4 months) instead of going back from October 1999! Also, that I should be glad as a matter of fact, they refunded 4 months instead of 2 months.

I learned about AOL charges when I checked my back satement of December 2001-2002. I noticed an AOL charges. I called the bank and they confirmed that it is for America on line services. I called AOL and they told me that they have been billing me since October 1999.

I told Jennifer that the refund is to small and I also asked her what would be the next step I should take for someone to look at my request. I asked her for the name of manager of the billing department. She told me that there are many managers and she cannot give me any names. I told her that I want to send the manager a letter. She reiterated many times that no one can help me. I told her that maybe she cannot help me but others can.

Along the line, I interrupted her many times as she interrupted me many times. Along the conversation, I mention, I was also mumbling.. if I need to go to court for this.

I told her that I am not arguing with her and that this is really a bad situation. I told her that I can only tell her the situation and she only do the same. I would like very much for her to give me another option.

She told me that AOL sent me an e-mail March 11 (or 12) saying that the free services (since I supposedly opened the account is over). I asked her to waht address: [email protected] . I told her that it is impossible for me to get that e-mail because that account is supposedly inactive.

Of course, it is my responsibility to check my bank statement (as she put the bame on me, and not wanting to take responsibility for this riff-off!). I told her, I don't check my bank statement because I know the charges that is supposed to be there. AND THAT I DO NOT EXPECT AOL CHARGES ON MY BANK ACCOUNT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!

So, I don't. I don;t want them to get away with this! Definitely not! Please help.
