I am going through something similar. They were supposd to terminate my benefits two weeks ago before my next paycheck. Surprise, surprise. They didn't. The rep on the phone said they'd expedite my case but their definition of expedite is to get to it if they have time at the end of the day. They also consider10 days not a long period of time.
The staff is very rude and stonewallls you every turn. Even though they had an order from the government to terminate the benefits they ignored it going so far as saying that the only information they received was a cover letter. This is a lie. When the info was resent and I asked them to make sure everything was there Mary Beth out right refused saying that's the review departments job. No one takes responsibility for what goes wrong saying that it was a different department. I have never been treated so terribly in all my dealings. I've done customer service and I wouldn't ever thing about treating someone the way I was treated.
Rest assured that if they continue to do this the company I work for that hired Aon Hewitt to handle payroll and benefits will know about how we're treated as we'll as my attorney general. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this happen to. They use fradulant practices and rely on people now knowing basic laws such as full disclosure. They're gonna have their hands full. I wonder just how many of us are out there?
