Appraiser Direct ripoff Charged credit card before recieving signed Order Form Citrus Heights California
Jerry Carrillo called to tell me I had been refered to him by one of the lenders I already do business for, and that I might be interested in putting my company on their web site. I asked for more information to be sent to me in writing and was told if I didn't sign up that day I would loose my priority listing spot for the counties I serve.
I gave them my information and credit card # and was told they wuld not proceed until I faxed back a signed order form. After reading the additional information and visiting the web site, I decided it was not something I wanted to do.
When I called Jerry back the next day I was told my credit card had been charged and my information was on their web site. When I asked to cancel he said he was not authorized to do that and gave me a customer service number to call. I called customer service and could only leave a message and no one has called back. I recently saw a comment in one of my trade magazines warning not to get involved with Appraiser Direct because she had similar problems with them. Unfortunatly is is about 4 months to late.
I was charged $349.00 for 1 year with a money back guarntee. I haven't recieved any requests to do appraisals and have not been able to contact anyone with the company.
