I had a sales person sell me the Appstar system. He told me the costs would never rise and they would reimburse me up to $300 for my old system. (It never is more than that he said). After about two weeks I noticed that my old system was still billing me. When I call they said that it was my job to discontinue my old system, the salesman told me different. So I thought fine I will get it disconnected.
When I call to cancel my old system not only did it cost over $300 but I also had to pay for the machine lease to be stopped; that was over $2000. When I called customer service they said of course the lease is different than the processing. I explained that is not what I was told. They said it is the salesperson job to explain the process and since they are independent people, Appstar is not responsible.
I then called my sales person. He said he had quit because they were such a bad company. He said when he explained it to me he believed that the total cancelation for everything as he was told should have been no more than $300.
I have now had the machine for just over a month. The wireless goes down almost daily. I then have to run the cards later which cost me more. When I call customer service they said that is ATT problem. If ATT takes the towers down they cannot do anything about that. I said that I go this machine because I can only do wireless. They said I would have to be wired and I would have to pay to switch the machine out.
Everyday this gets worse…...
I am a small businessman trying for the American Dream. I served my country for 20 years in the Army with just a few battle scars. I have made it through the toughest year as a small business. It is a shame that a company like this will probably be my downfall in life!
