In May of 2005, I moved from Cincinnati Ohio to California. A.S.A.P. movers moved me in Cincinnati. The so-called professional movers from A.S.A.P. dropped my boxes and called my property "s**t".

The man I spoke with at A.S.A.P. movers, (he claimed to be the owner) was consistently rude and when they finally delivered my property, there was property missing. I contacted the owner and was told that they did not have my property and started pointing fingers. I told him I have pictures of mny property and continued my investigation.

The owner of ASAP movers finally admitted they have some of my property but not the all of it and he intimated that the property I was claiming was gone, did not exist. He said he would return the property of mine that he had when a truck was coming up my way - to Northern Northern California. Even he admitted that it could take a long time.

It is now November. I still do not have my property. He claims to have sent a check but, like the phone calls he claims to have made to me, there is no check. Delta Van Lines was the broker and was helping get reimbursed for my proeprty. Even they have not had luck with one of their own subcontractors.

I have paid my bill in full to ASAP movers. They have my property but will not/have not returned it. Is this not a theft then? Additionally, so much of my property was broken when it arrived in CA that I was so totally dismayed. I could have moved my property better than they did. One would think that there would be some sort of due diligence performed from so-called professional movers. There was, and continues to be, nothing professional about ASAP movers.

I also have someone else's property. ASAP appears completely unconcerned about this and has made no attempt to deliver it to it's rightful owner. I have no way of knowing who's property it is.

I have been employed for about 10 years in the moving industry and have never been so lucky to work for such a group of caring individuals. Your claims about the owners not caring a bit about your goods seems ridiculous to me. They take care of their employees, and hold them to the highest standards. while every move may not turn out to be perfect, for the most part they make great efforts to make sure they do.If you have a legitimate claim you were to be given a number to call to have an outside contracter determine it. their legal liability is 60 cents a lb per article as the law requires. and ive yet to see them try to screw a customer for this. you as consumers need to realize when you move regardless of the company you choose you need to do 2 things. FIRST AND FOREMOST..PURCHASE FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE of your goods. and second, when your items are prepared for the move, dont skimp on packing materials, while you may think $30.00 is excessive to protect your property(for example a china cabinet) the replacement cost makes it seem quite foolish. I am proud to work for this company and stand by the owners as not only great bosses, but outstanding people. Thank you

I am sorry that you were treated that way and only wish I knew about this site yesterday. Actually I was given the name of this site by what appears to be a reputable (if there is one out there) moving company. Had I read this post, I don't think I would have even bothered to look at a quote from these pigs who actually THINK that Nevada is near New York. Take heart in the fact that not only have they been charged with harrassment by their local police department today, they are now under investigation by the FBI and the BBB. I'm not quite done with them yet. Just thank your lucky stars that you don't live anywhere near their office as they are dangerous and they are criminals. Anyone even thinking about a move, stay far away from this company (if that's what you want to call it). From where I am now after speaking with the police today, they are more than likely in this country illegally and soon will be sent back to their own country where women are treated with such disregard and threats of rape must be allowed. Disgusting.
