ASSOC/CITI Aka BP/CITI ripoff THIS COMPANY RUINED OUR CREDIT WILMINGTON DELAWARE
My wife and I were applying for a loan for a home last May. When the loan officer received our credit report she said everything was great except for one item. It was a creditor-alert by BP/CITI saying we owed $89. We could not even think what this company was or why owed them any money.
Our loan officer said that we could fight this but recommended that our loan process would go faster if we wrote to BP/CITI explaining that we were not aware of this overdue payment but would pay the $89 dollars anyway so they would remove this from our credit report.
We sent a check for the $89 hoping this would clear up the matter. They quickly cashed the check but we heard nothing further from them. We assumed that the matter was taken care of.
This week we cosigned for a loan for our son so he could go back to school. We learned today that the loan had been denied because of BP/CITI creditor alert! We were shocked because we thought this matter had been cleared up. No such luck.
We are furious and plan to take action!
