we were ask if we wanted credit life insurance on loan. check we wanted it told there would be a $36.01 payment for 120 months of loan added to loan payment for 120 months of loan.

This was on may 12 1997 told an agent would contact us in 35 to 45 days to give us policy. never heard from insurance agent but they added the $36.01 payment to loan payment.

after bening lied to for 7 years by employees of associates and no one able to produce policy or name of insurance company that was receiving the $36.01 payment got lucky one day back in july 2004 an got a honest employee.

found out through him that not only were we making a $36.01 payment for insurance with no policy etc. but the contract on file at associates was different than one we signed on may 12 1997. unable to get back in touch with him to fax copies he was kind enough to send me a copy of the one associates hed on file.

found out that on may 13 1997 they redid loan adding $12,963.00 in credit life premium. That they financed the home with the amount of the down payment still added in to purchase price which added $10,00.00 in interest to the loan.

to find out that there was never a policy written in my husbands name for the insurance. that by them doing this we were being charged an additional $22,963.00 to the total of the loan.

that on a $60,00.00 manufactured home with out the land attached to it we would end up paying $242,634.00 for our home.

then a year later to get them to finaly agree to try and resolve this matter in may 2005. sent letter requesting

what we wanted and are rightfuly owed. to find out two weeks after that they sold our loan to vanderbilt nortage.

it is now september 20 2005 and we have not heard a word from any one since june 10 2005. no one will answer our phone calls and we can not afford an attorney. If you have any advice on what to do please post a rebuttal/Consumer Comment below.
