Atlantic Magazine Services - CRC rip-off! Deceitful! Rude! Won't cancel my subscription! Deerfield Beach Florida
They contacted me on the phone, and told me i was gonna good deal and free gifts. Next they asked for my credit card info to verify my existence, at first i didnt give them. But finally the sales clerk persuaded me into giving it. The sales clerk said no money would be charged to my credit card. SO my understanding was that they would send me a letter that requires my signature and infos before they would charge.
And when i asked if i cancel anytime, he kept dodging my questions. After i got tricked into make a recordable agreement that id pay $66.32 for 16 months, he said that the subscription can be CANCELLED, i just have to call their 800 number and say i'd like to cancel it
The next day, i cancelled it cause i realized the magazines price is a ripoff. A sales representative answered my phone and she said, someone from the company will call me back. But i didnt receive any calls back. I assumed my membership has been cancelled.
They, however keep charging my credit card for the first 2 months. I called them again, and a CSR said the membership cant be cancelled because they have paid for those magazines. I filed disputes against the CRC charges on my credit card and they credited my credit card company back with no problem, no explanation or whatsoever.
However,on the third month, a person from crc sales division called me and threatened, she will report me to "outside collecting company" if i dont pay for my "debt". She even offered me shed have my next monthly charges halved if i pay the 3 months debt. I have no intention of paying to this lying, deceitful company, I will notify BBB and Florida Attorney General next.
Dont EVER deal with these people.
