I enrolled for service on Aug 12th and was clearly advised that if I signed up with both ATT wireless and Direct TV that I would be able to have Unlimited Data and Hotspot capabilities. Being that my current Carrier T-Mobile yields unlimited and a cap on the hotspot of 7GB we were all go for signing up. We reside in Las Vegas and were embarking on a road trip to Oregon and it wasn't until we tried opening the Hotspot app that we really didn't realize we were duped. Hotspot not enabled with your plan -unable to connect call customer service 611 ERROR! We called and found out that the plan we were sold does not allow hotspot at all!! Total misrepresentation by your agent to get us to sign up. We got to our destination in Oregon and cancelled the account and returned the phones of which we were charged 2x $45 restocking fees all due to your agents lies we incurred this expense. Then the best part is we get a bill for $241 for a total of 6 days of usage the customer service agents were able to waive a few activation fees but still $200 remained for 6 days of service lol. I was not prorated for the remaining month of service that went unused and was forced to pay restocking fees all based on LIES and DECIET from your agent. Attempting to switch to ATT cost me $290. I want a refund on same or answers as to why you feel lying to customers and charging them fees due to your lies is acceptable practice! Thanks for nothing ATT
