Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
At first when I received my car from Freeway now, Automax everything was fine...I made my weekly payments on time with no problem. Then as the months went on, I would call in to make my payments and they would always reset my passcode with the wrong numbers. So, I would have to wait until the next day when the office opened to get a new passcode. The staff was rude and unprofessional. Several things lead to me not wanting to keep my vehicle.

1) Freeway kept saying that I signed a finance agreement, when I actually signed a leased agreement. When I initially got the car, the gentlemen told me that I would be able to return the car for any reasons. I should have known that was too good to be true.

2) Someone at Freeway/Stratus Group charged $100+ to my checkcard w/o my permission. My husband and I filed a police report in order to get the money back from the bank. A few hours later a representative with Freeway called and said that she knew who did the charge but she could not release his/her name. In return, she would credit our account for 2weeks of payment.

3) My car started acting up so I took it to the Freeway shop for repairs, a week or so went by; I went to p/u the vehicle and on my way home the car was doing the exact same thing that it went in for in the first place. A few weeks later I called the shop w/no answer and later learned that the shop had closed.

4) The business just up and closed one day without any notice to the customer's and a few months later a letter was sent out advising that you could make your payments at an ACE checkcashing store in Nashville. You could not mail in any payments.

Due to all the issues, I called Freeway and ask for them to come and p/u the vehicle. The rep said that she did not know how they would go about doing that due to both lots in my area being closed. Eventually, they p/u my vehicle in August and in November they reported on my credit report an "involuntary" repossession. The amt that they have as being owed is absurd. I called to ask for a copy of the bill of sale and the rep today told me that they do not sell their vehicle at auctions, so they do not have a bill of sale for me. She kept saying that I owe that ridiculous amount. I ask for a copy of the contract that I signed and again for the bill of sale. She said that she would have to call me back and I have still not heard from her. Which is typical b/c this is how this company operates. If anyone has any advice or knowledge on my issue, please email me @ [email protected]
