Automotive Warranty Services Inc. Scam Chicago Illinois
Bought an older car from a local dealerhsip in town. We had a budget and were not planning on going over. The financal officer of the dealership explained the warranty to us and assured us it was what we needed given we were buying an older car. We spent $3000 (over our budget) on the warranty from Automotive Warranty Services, Inc.
Less than six months later we had to take the car in. The air conditioner would only blow air out of the floor mode, the passenger window wouldn't go up and the sunroof would only open a half inch at a time. And NONE of the issues were covered by the warranty, and the dealer wanted $700 to fix everything
I pulled out the paperwork and discovered the brochure for the warranty was pretty vague, there wasn't even a phone number available. I started doing some research and found the company has a list of complaints with the BBB and is not an acredited memeber with the BBB.
I very much regret purchasing a warranty from them.
