We purchased an 8-week old, male Chihuahua puppy, bred at Avalon Kennels in Avery, Texas. Upon arrival in our home, the puppy was lethargic and refused to eat. He was diagnosed three days after his arrival with a severe case of Canine Parvovirus, a very deadly and highly contagious disease in dogs. In addition, the puppy came flea-ridden. The puppy is being treated aggressively at a top-level veterinary hospital in our region, where the veterinarians are not optimistic about his chances of survival. We strongly suggest that you do not do business with Avalon Kennels.
