AVP, Assured Vehicle Protection, Marathon Administrative Co. Buyer Beware! Company is a Rip-Off/Scam Shawnee Mission Kansas
I purchased Assured Vehicle Protection (AVP) in 2014 and got the "Paramount Security Plus" Coverage Plan through the auto dealer (Used Car Dealer) I purchased my vehicle from. When I needed a repair the first time, as my vehicle needed a belt replaced, I called the phone # for the compnay got their voicemail each time. They called me back 2 days later.. I had given up and brought my car to a place with certified mechanics that was close to my home as I couldnt have driven it very far. I get a call back after I already paid for the reapir as I had to have a car to drive to work, AVP informed me they wouldnt cover the repair costs as I didnt call them for pre-approval!
HELLO I tried about 20x for 2 days and you all never called me back until 48 hours later! So I let that one just slide, no biggie, just sad a compnay you pay so much money to cant answer a simple phone call. So fast forward 4 months down the road my cars engine light comes on, I get it checked and it needs a Replacement of the Alternator, I proceed to call AVP to get "Pre-Approval" for the reapairs... SURE ENOUGH NO ANSWER!!!! Just Voicemail! I have waited 3 days now and I finally get a hold of someone at AVP, and they inform me "Oh Your just gonna have to contact your purchasing dealer for a approved shop."
SO first its I have to call yall for pre-approval and now when I do get a hold of you THE PEOPLE WHO I PURCHASED A VEHICLE PROTECTION WARRANTY FROM you all refer me to someone else! I call the dealer and they said " No AVP should be authorizing a pre-approved dealer for you." Well I call AVP back and no answer so I wait 3 more days and still no answer. I ended up paying 100% for repairs again and havent heard back from AVP since. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! DO NOT PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU CAR SELLER AGENT MAKES IT SEEM! DO NOT BUY IT
